Plantar Fascitis

Do you experience sharp pain in the morning? Or after a long day? This might just be the reason. The plantar fascia a thick band of tissue under your feet that connects our heels to our toes and supports our walking motion. When this tissue gets torn and inflamed, it causes discomfort many of us know too well. The good news? Custom orthotics can improve arch support, provide cushioning and offer relief during your daily activities.

Knee, hip and back pain

Chances are you’ve heard of pronation. That’s the natural motion of your ankle and foot when you walk. In a perfect world, it’s neutral. But often our heel rotates too far in (overpronation) or out (supination). This can lead to pain from our feet, all the way to our back. Medical orthotics are designed to support your stride, so you keep a neutral gait and feel better through your daily activities.

Metatarsalgia

Metatarsalgia is the name for pain and inflammation in the ball of your foot. It affects the metatarsals, the bones connecting the ankle bones to the toes. With our custom orthotics, we add a metatarsal (met) pad to support the metatarsals in their natural position and spacing, preventing them from becoming cramped. Our custom orthotics help the feet carry the load and distribute pressure more evenly, offering relief for pain associated with metatarsalgia.

Bunions

A bunion is a painful bony bump that develops on the inside of the foot at the big toe joint. Our orthotics for bunions have a deep heel cup with a semi-rigid midsole, moderate medial arch height and forefoot cushioning. These corrections can help control the subtalar joint of the ankle, increase shock absorption and control pronation moments all-the-while cushioning the bunion from impact. While orthotics cannot correct a bunion, they can help reduce the pain in the big toe joint and slow its progression.
